Nielsen House Products purchased through this website can only be delivered to Mainland UK at present.

The standard charges for UK delivery begin at £8.95 and increase in relation to Product size and weight. The delivery charge per order is indicated at the basket stage as a cumulative figure. Orders containing 6 different Products or more are subject to a reduced delivery charge. Please contact Nielsen House for a revised delivery quote in this instance prior to checking out. Nielsen House cannot refund delivery charges either in full or part once the Buyer has completed payment of their order.
Products will be delivered by our nominated carrier or direct from manufacturer. All items are subject to availability; we will inform you as soon as possible if the Products you have ordered are not available.
If at any time you need to change your delivery address, please contact us. Additional charges may apply.
On request, Furniture Products may be put in place by the carrier, unwrapped and the packaging taken away (excludes self assembly Products). Additional charges may apply.
We are unable to remove old furniture.
An adult must be in attendance to check and sign for all Product deliveries.
Nielsen House source high-quality, iconic items from around the world. As such, many items we offer are not "off-the-shelf" and are made to order. This ensures the high quality we strive to deliver. Many of our products therefore have long lead times. Please take note of the delivery estimates for each product before buying.
Delivery times stated are estimates only. Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that delivery times are adhered to, Nielsen House cannot accept responsibility for delay or failure to deliver by the date specified or any resulting consequences to the Buyer.
Nielsen House will endeavour to provide you with a single delivery to include all Products. Depending on the Products ordered, the Product with the longest lead-time will determine your estimated delivery date. Where either a large order or an order containing multiple Product types is placed Products therein may be dispatched to the Buyer separately.
Delivery and Access
The Buyer shall provide at its own expense adequate assistance for unloading Products at their place of delivery within a reasonable time from the arrival of the delivery vehicle. If for any reason whatsoever a Buyer fails to take delivery of the goods or any part of them on the due date, Nielsen House shall be entitled to charge for re-delivery and any additional costs incurred in this regard including storage and insurance charges. Any delay or failure shall not entitle the Buyer to refuse to accept any delivery or to repudiate the Contract and the full price shall be payable to Nielsen House without deduction.
It is the Buyer’s responsibility to check that each Product will fit into their property, i.e. check door and entrance sizes. Please inform us at the point of order if your home, or room is difficult to access. This will affect how we deliver your Product(s) and may involve an additional charge.
Damage Risk and Reporting
Nielsen House accepts responsibility for the loss or damage of all Products until they are received by the Buyer. Upon receipt of delivery and payment in full ownership of the Product(s) including the responsibility for their loss or damage becomes that of the Buyer. Where a Product(s) is returned to Nielsen House at the Buyer’s request, they will become the property of Nielsen House upon receipt of the return delivery and only at this point will the responsibility for any loss or damage to said Product(s) revert to Nielsen House.
On delivery, the Buyer will be asked to check the Product(s) and sign a proof of delivery document. This document confirms that the Buyer has received the Product(s) in satisfactory condition and that there has been no damage to their property. Product(s) cannot be left unchecked. Non-delivery, damage or pilferage in transit must be reported in writing to Nielsen House within 24 hours of receipt of the Product(s).
The Buyer must be aware of any potential damage that may occur during the delivery of Product(s) to their property and take all necessary steps to avert it. Furniture legs and castors can mark floor coverings. If this is a concern felt pads or castor cups should be used to cover such areas. The Buyer must supply these.
Product Specific Delivery Quotes
Where a Product is subject to a delivery quote independent of standard delivery charges it will be specified on the Website. In this instance the Buyer is required to contact Nielsen House stating the Product(s) required, the quantity of each Product(s) required and their preferred delivery address upon which we will provide said delivery quote. Delivery quotes independent of standard delivery charges will be valid for 1 month from date of receipt.
Products that are subject to POA as specified on the Website carry independent delivery charges by default. Nielsen House will advise the Buyer of these on confirmation of the Product price.
Note for British Standards Fire Treatment Requirements
Fabrics will be supplied untreated. We suggest your chosen upholster arranges this for you should it be required. Upholstered Furniture supplied by Nielsen House will conform to BS regulations for domestic use.
At Nielsen House we aim to give you a shopping experience that is second to none. If for whatever reason you are not delighted with your purchase and feel you would like to send your Product(s) back for refund then please return them unused and in their original packaging within 7 days with a completed Nielsen House Returns Form.
